What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a Complementary Health Therapy which can provide deep relaxation and improved wellbeing. As well as reducing stress in people's lives, it can help in the healing of both body and mind. It helps to restore and balance the body's natural equilibrium. It is based on the theory that there are different reflex points on the feet and face that relate to the organs and glands of the body. By applying pressure to these reflex areas on the feet and face, it can remove energy blockages, release tension and promote better health in the related body areas. Reflexology can stimulate more than 7,000 different nerve endings on each foot in a single session.
Regular reflexology sessions will help to bring relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including;
-Stress and Anxiety
-Depression
-Digestive disorders, such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome or Crohn's Disease
-Insomnia and Fatigue
-Headaches and Migraines
-Fertility - Menstrual/Menopausal difficulties
-Muscular aches and pains
-Respiratory conditions
-Skin related conditions
Who is the therapist?
Sheona is a friendly and compassionate reflexologist who understands that reflexology and massage can be a great relief and support through life's challenges. As a qualified teacher, Sheona began to go to regular reflexology sessions herself which helped her during particularly stressful times. Through this experience, she developed an interest in Complementary Therapies and went on to train in both foot and facial reflexology. It is important to Sheona to put her client's at ease so that they get the best out of their treatment in order to relax, rejuvenate and recharge.
